How do you make relationships come alive in a story? How do you write sex scenes that do more than titillate? Join authors Victoria Hetherington and Patricia Westerhof for a workshop that will give you strategies for making the romantic and sexual relationships in your stories character-driven, tasteful, and compelling.
Victoria Hetherington is the author of two critically acclaimed novels: Mooncalves (Now or Never, 2019), which was shortlisted for the 2020 Amazon First Novel Award, and Autonomy (Rare Machines, 2022.) She is also the author of Into The Mist: Finding CF-JDO (Kestrel, 2023) a polyphonic nonfiction book which explores a Canadian aviation tragedy in rural Saskatchewan.
Patricia Westerhof is an author, speaker, and writing coach. Along with her most recent book, The Canadian Guide to Creative Writing and Publishing, she’s written an award-winning novel, The Dove in Bathurst Station, as well as a collection of short stories, Catch Me When I Fall. She is currently working on a new novel, The Alphabet Book of Dating, inspired by her recent experience of having been forced to write an index.
